Baseball has taken over my life.

I know i said i was going to post more and add more updates to this blog. But i joined the Board of Directors for Little League this year, and it has consumed everyday of my life. I havent even weighed in since my last post. I have cut down on the soda alot and have been sticking to drinking alot more water thanks to Costcos cheap water prices and alot of crystal light drop-ins.

The regular season of baseball is over and All-Stars is going to start soon. It will be alot more relaxed and i hope to beable to come back and blog about that things that have been going on in my life latley.

Goal #1

Tomorrow is the big day. The day that i turn 29.
I sit here tonight freaking out...about my weight, about my life, and about my future.

In March of last year i weighed 210 lbs. Tonight I am 227.8 lbs. It seriously makes me sick to my stomic to think about gainning 17.8 lbs in just 1 year. I know that i have had a very hard year but that is no excuse.
So my first goal while being 29 is to lose the weight i gained while i was 28, and along the way i hope to find myself and to find my next goal in life.

I want to blog about my weight loss, about the strugles and troubles that i have while doing it.

First step to lossing weight...NO MORE SODA.

Welcome to my journey. Watch out its going to be a bumpy ride.

What is a number?

EACH YEAR AS MY DAD HAD HIS BIRTHDAY HE WOULD TELL EVERYONE THAT HE WAS TURNING 29..AGAIN. TODAY I AM 3 WEEKS AWAY FROM TURNING 29 MYSELF AND IM WONDERING WHAT WAS SO SPECIAL ABOUT 29 THAT HE WANTED TO BE THAT AGE FOREVER. IS IT BECAUSE HE WAS SO AFFRAID OF HIS 30'S OR DID HE NOT WANT TO GROW UP. OR MAYBE EVEN WHEN HE WAS 29 THE FIRST TIME IT WAS THE BEST YEAR OF HIS LIFE AND HE NEVER WANTED TO LIVE IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. WE ASKED HIM MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS WHY HE PICKED THE AGE OF 29 TO STAY FOREVER, BUT NEVER GOT A TRUE ANSWER. HE PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 52. MY MISSION DURRING MY TIME AS 29 YEARS OLD IS TO LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST, TO MAKE IT THE BEST YEAR I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. TO LIVE IT FOR MY DAD. AND TO BE THE BEST THAT I CAN BE.

Rest in Peach Mr Hege

Officer John Hege was shot on Saturday afternoon along with 4 other Officers. 1 survived.
Mr Hege as i called him was a PE Teacher at Tennyson High School where my mom worked before he became an Oakland Police Officer. He also worked at the Oakland Arena and got me and a friend a job there when we were in High School. He was a good hard working man and did alot of volunteer work and tried to help out alot of kids.

After his death he saved 4 people and helped 50 other people with his Organ and Tissue donations. He is a true hero and will not be forgot.
